Download Taylor Swift Safe & Sound: Hunger Games Music Video Premiere Is All Set

Taylor Swift "Safe & Sound" video premieres Monday at 7:54 p.m. ET on MTV, followed by an exclusive chat with Swift on MTV.com.

The media conglomerate Viacom and Taylor Swift just announced that they’re joining forces for the first-ever MTV global music video premiere, featuring Taylor Swift’s "Safe & Sound" video from the soundtrack to the upcoming flick "The Hunger Games." The video is set to debut Feb. 13, and because of the scope of the media giant and the popularity of the "Mean" singer, Viacom expects the video could air in as many as 600 million homes around the globe.

"We're proud to be partnering with Taylor to introduce her new music video to our worldwide audience to every screen known to man or robot, while simultaneously providing multiple layers of editorial content and context," Van Toffler, president of Viacom Music & Logo Group, said in a statement. "This global premiere underscores our mission to connect artists and their fans through a content-first strategy."

The video debuts at precisely 7:54PM ET next Monday on MTV and will be shown at TaylorSwift.MTV.com in more than 150 countries. Following the premiere, Swift will appear on MTV.com for a 30-minute interview special.The music video, which features vintage duo the Civil Wars will at the same time hit MTV channels in Europe, Latin America, Africa, Australia, Asia and Canada.

This is all set to take place just one day after both Swift and the Civil Wars perform at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. Swift is up for three awards for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song for "Mean," as well as Best Country Album for "Speak Now." The Americana duo received a Grammy nod this year for Best Folk Album with "Barton Hollow." Regardless of Sunday’s results, both acts can look forward to Monday’s digital takeover with "Safe and Sound."
