The Official Release Date of Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE Sprint Dues on August 19


Rumors and teases have been spread all over the internet in the fast few months that the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE, an Android smartphone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard from Sprint, would be "coming soon". Finally the official release date of Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE is confirmed as August 19.

Preorders for Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE can be accepted by Sprint through its website at www.sprint.com/photonq. Those who have preordered the phone will receive their device as early as two days before the official release date.

The Photon Q will go for $200 with a new line of service or an eligible upgrade and two-year service agreement.

The Motorola handset will come loaded with Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a microSD memory card slot.

Sporting a 4.3-inch ColorBoost display, the Photon Q will also have an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, an HD front-facing camera, a micro HDMI port, and NFC support. Naturally, i will be able to connect to Sprint's nascent 4G LTE network.

It is going to be one of just a handful of models from Sprint with a physical keyboard. In this case, it will be a slider that can be hidden behind the touchscreen.
