Tips: If you are a registered YouTube users, now you can log in to your account, click the 'Upload' button at the top of the site to see if your account qualifies; and users that were previously failed to upload video for being too long have to go into 'My Videos' and delete the old video before uploading it again.

Background: Since at least 2006, the time duration limit of YouTube videos uploaded by users was 10 minutes, until the 15-minutes limit was imposed this July. Thanks to YouTube's state-of-the-art Content ID System and other tools that help copyright owners protect their rights, the new policy can become possible.
As of March 2010, 24 hours of video content is uploaded to the video site per minute.
